Mesa Arch and a Little Brother - May 2014

May was a pretty big month for the Gray family. The weather here in Moab has been amazing as we have had a very long spring this year. Maddi and I took advantage of the great weather to do some hiking in Canyonlands National Park, Maddi is a great hiker!
The hike from the trail head to Mesa Arch is roughly half a mile round trip, Maddi knew that at that distance she didn't need any help and wouldn't except any.

With a little determination

and lots
and lots
of sit breaks...
...we made it!
As you look through the arch you can see the Colorado river, a spire called 'Washer Woman' and the the LaSal Mountains in the background.
Now onto the BIG news!
On May 5, 2014 (Cinco de Mayo) Connor Brockbank Gray joined our little family evening up the gender divide! Connor weighed 8 pounds 7 ounces and was 20" long. I imagine that it is always a little nerve racking but this time was especially so as Mackenzie's epidural quit working and had to be switched out in the middle of all the excitement! In the end though everything worked out great and Kenzie and I are so grateful for how blessed we are and all of the love and support we received from our family and friends.
