Our two weeks in Great Falls gave us lots of chances to have fun with the family, and the family lots of chances to play with Maddi.

While we were there we went to The First People's Buffalo Jump, a state park centered around a butte where the Native Americans used to hunt buffalo. The park ranger who was there was very friendly and allowed all everyone to try on a wolf skin that the Native Americans used to use on their buffalo hunts.
We were also able to take Maddi on her first hike ever at Tower Rock State Park, personally I think that she is a natural. There is a certain level of fitness required, some people can't hike at all, other people can sweat and struggle their way up the mountain, and still others can talk all the way up the mountain as if it was just a Sunday stroll. Maddi has them all beat, she is the only person I know who can sleep the entire time she is hiking!
We were almost down the mountain when Kenzie insisted on stopping and having her picture taken. Even though we were all really tired and hungry and wanted to be off the mountain, I have to admit that she does make a pretty picture.
